This most delicate paper has the qualities similar to flowers. It is fragile and strong at the same time. Thinking of holland in the 17th century, the time that this special paper has been used already by Dutch artists,
I came up with the idea to visualize the so called tulip mania. A time when tulips were worth more than gold, and still life’s were painted depicting the most special flowers, telling a story of beauty and decay.
The petals are handcrafted and can be shaped seperatly, to open or close the flower bud.
